  • Each year, we give 3rd grade students the Magical Experience of DANCING onstage in The Nutcracker!
      
    WHO IS ELIGIBLE?  3rd grade Boys and Girls from CyFair ISD Title One schools.
     
    WHERE: Auditions and Rehearsals will be held at at Ballet Center of Houston, the official school of the Houston Repertoire Ballet.  Dress Rehearsal and Performances held at CFISD Visual and Performing Arts Center.
     
    WHEN DO WE PERFORM? Houston Repertoire Ballet moved it's annual performances to the newly opened CFISD Visual and Performing Arts Center in 2024. This year, prior to our ticketed public performances, HRB will have performances specifically for CFISD 3rd graders. Selected students will perform for their peers in these shows for their friends.  We'll perform during the school day the first Thursday and Friday of December!  
     
    ANY REQUIREMENTS?  No dance experience is necessary, but attending rehearsals at Ballet Center of Houston is mandatory. Participants must be available and committed to all rehearsals. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before rehearsals. Participants arriving late will be counted as absent and could be removed from participation. Participants will be divided into 1-3 cast depending on the audition results.
         
    COST-FREE: There are absolutely no costs. No rehearsal fees and all supplies and costumes will be provided.
