• Our Community Outreach Projects

  • Houston Repertoire Ballet has received a generous grant from Texas Commission on the Arts, enabling us to expand our outreach mission to children currently attending three Title-1 schools. Up to 36 students will participate, free of charge (including class attire, costumes, and other supplies), in one-hour weekly ballet classes/rehearsals at Houston Repertoire Ballet/Ballet Center of Houston studios, and will receive dance instruction through the “Nutcracker Experience” program. These children will have the opportunity to participate as dancers in three HRB Nutcracker Arts & Education school performances, for an audience of their peers comprising more than 1,500 Tomball ISD 3rd graders.
HRB dancers are committed to sharing the arts with the community. Community engagement events include costumed appearances at various nursing homes, group events, and at Arts & Education performances as well as our young dancer mentor program, the HRB Children’s Guild.

To request information or to schedule an outreach event for your organization, please call 281-940-HRB1 (4721) or email us at mail@hrbdance.org

HRB’s mission is dedicated to providing the finest classical ballet instruction, education, and performance experience to local gifted students, and to preparing them for a professional career in the world of dance. HRB is committed to serving the suburban Houston region with high-quality theatre productions that educate, engage, and entertain residents of all ages and perpetuate their appreciation of dance as an art form.

  • The Houston Repertoire Ballet is a wonderful partner for our school district! The extremely talented dancer from HRB are not only outstanding artists, they are great people with a huge heart for the students of our district.

  • As a person that leads the outreach program at the Houston Ballet, I know firsthand the importance this experience brings to so many underserved children, particularly in the title one schools. I highly support Ms. Vittum and Houston Repertoire Ballet in their efforts to expand the outreach program for the Tomball lSD.

Lauren Anderson - Former Houston Ballet Principal Dancer & Program Manager for Houston Ballet Community Outreach

  • I have danced with American Ballet Theatre in New York for thirteen years achieving the
rank of Soloist. I am currently in my third year as a Principal Dancer with Houston Ballet.
Throughout my career I have traveled the world performing in many famous opera houses and theaters. I would not be where I am today without Victoria Vittum and Houston Repertoire Ballet.
